State Employee Compensation - House Bill 602
Allowed education employees to utilize a portion of accrued sick leave to supplement workers compensation while recovering from a disability incurred on the job covered by workers compensation. This inconsistency in benefits between education employees and other state employees was brought to light by a Bannock County constituent. This bill was passed and signed into law.

Increase Maximum Sentence for Incest - House Bill 123
The purpose of this bill is to change the maximum possible prison sentence for the crime of incest from 10 years to 25 years. The need for this change was highlighted by a Bannock County constituent’s personal story of abuse. This bill was passed and signed into law.

Read Across Idaho Day - House Resolution 3
This resolution recognizes March 3 as "Read Across Idaho Day" and honors Dr. Seuss's birthday as a time to remember the importance of reading.

Promotion of Agricultural Products - House Bill 298
Supports the efforts of Idaho agricultural interests in the domestic and international marketing of their products. Passed and signed into law.

Peace Officers Training Funding - Senate Bill 1028
This bill ensured that a percentage of funds from court fees is directed toward peace office training in Idaho. Passed and signed into law.

Charter School Transportation Expenses – Senate Bill 1347
This bill authorized advance payment of a portion of estimated transportation costs for charter schools. Passed and signed into law.

Medal of Honor for Firefighters and Law Enforcement – Senate Bill 1260
Creates statewide recognition for extraordinary acts of valor and heroism by firefighters and police, recognizing that they face the possibility of serious injury or death in the performance of their duties, and assures that their sacrifices are recognized, and their bravery honored, by the state whose citizens they protect. This legislation established a Commission to consider nominations for the "Idaho Law Enforcement and Firefighting Medal of Honor," and directs that the medals are to be presented by the Governor at an annual ceremony. Passed and signed into law.

Elimination of Sales Tax on Groceries
Allen assisted in drafting a proposed state budget that protected education, economic development and health care while eliminating the sales tax on groceries saving every Idaho family six percent every time they go to the grocery store.
